The project
Beyond the Lily Fields is a short, surreal puzzle game developed over seven weeks by students at Yrgo Game Creator in Gothenburg, Sweden. In this narrative-driven experience, players explore the mysterious fate of a young girl named Lily by zooming in and out of environments, interacting with objects, and solving rhyming puzzles. The game features a minimalist art style and dynamic storytelling that responds to player interactions. Renck Productions contributed to the project by providing the voice-over for the narrator, enhancing the game’s immersive atmosphere.
About Yrgo Game Creators
Yrgo Game Creator is a higher vocational education program based in Gothenburg, Sweden, offering two specialized tracks: Game Creator Artist and Game Creator Programmer. The program emphasizes hands-on learning, where students collaborate on game projects using industry-standard tools like Unity and Unreal Engine. Notably, Yrgo has earned recognition in the Swedish game development scene, with student projects winning awards such as “Game of the Year” at the Swedish Game Awards in 2021 and 2023.
